Guided, facilitated negotiation

ClearVision Mediation Services has been providing professional mediation services since 2003, helping families, organizations, and businesses collaboratively move toward agreed-upon common ground. CEO and Principal Owner Alesia Grace Thompson is a Qualified Rule 114 Mediator in Minnesota Civil and Family Court and possesses over 3,000 hours of training in mediation methods.

Alesia has previously worked with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), foundations, businesses, and non-profit organizations to settle their disputes professionally. She has a passion for the compliance and government contracts field. She brings nearly 20 years of versatile experience as a state and federal employee in guiding individuals and businesses toward compliance-leading solutions. Alesia is also a certified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), which measures intercultural competencies, and an accredited facilitator of RealColors™, a tool to assess an individual's personality based on four distinct types. She has recently decided to offer conflict coaching to her array of services. Conflict coaching uses a one-on-one consultation to assess and develop an individual's communication skills and conflict management strategies. She is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy at Antioch University, researching the impact of mediation on how governments respond to scarce resource allocations.

To stay engaged in her local community, Alesia serves on the board of directors of the Mediation and Restorative Services (MARS), an organization whose mission is to provide accessible, affordable mediation and restorative practices to underserved populations. She volunteers as a mediator with the Minneapolis-based Conflict Resolution Center, which seeks to promote healing for individual, family, and community well-being. Alesia is also a Certified Ombudsman Volunteer (COV) for the State of Minnesota’s Long-term Care program.

Our philosophy

We believe in preventative mitigation to drive fairness, equity, and justice in the pursuit of solving problems. We work to thoughtfully communicate concerns, intervene appropriately when there are disagreements, and make possible creative solutions.

ClearVision Mediation serves as the bridge between two points of view— moving both sides toward a mutually agreed upon resolution that will withstand judicial review.
